If you’d found your jumper earlier it could have been a contender for a wedding dress… it’s a masterpiece. As are the upside down portraits. I totally agree re crafting, but last autumn I started making rag rugs with such gusto that I think I’ve permanently damaged my drawing hand… who knew crafts could be so treacherous… look after those digits!
The jumper is excellent. My mum knitted me some very fetching ones in the late 80s/early 90s, I wish we'd kept them for my children, they got far more tasteful knitted jumpers. I can knit and do some colour work (my daughter had a hoodie with bears all around it and little ears on the hood) but I've never tried intarsia as required for the 80s picture jumpers, it looks like a faff. Autumn does usually get me picking up my needles so that's possibly how I'll spend my evenings.
I remember doing upside down portraits in art at high school... 35 years ago! Fantastic to see you doing it. I'm going to introduce this to my children on our October half term holiday next week.
Question: How did you make your origami hanging bats?
That jumper!! What a treasure! I often buy things just because they’re “brilliant”, then…what to do with them…!? Hope it looks fab! Nothing wrong with a bit of Biggins!
Those upside down portraits are amazing! There must be something cathartic about it I reckon! I am deffo building myself up to doing some weathery #walktosee - I had definite thoughts about doing a drawing yesterday, but it was all windy, and I was on the sofa knitting! But I can feel myself wanting to join in! Thanks for the prompt! X

Lots of my favourite jumpers are from charity shops, but none as striking as that ski jumper! Top find 💛🧶

The 80s jumper reminds me of 80s game, Horace Goes Skiing. Ah, back in the day! https://www.antstream.com/post/my-antstream-arcade-horace-goes-skiing
Love the sweater and the self-portrait is grand!!!
