This looks like it'll be fun Helen! Exhausting, but fun 😆
My son's school had a virtual session with Michael Rosen on Monday, wish I could have snuck into that! We're lucky that his school is flexible with WBD dressing-up, it's encouraged but not compulsory and kids can come in mufti if they like. I'd prefer kids focus on books rather than stressing about the costume, but my son has always been keen to dress-up so I go with it! He's reusing the same costume as last year, 'Looshkin - The Maddest Cat in the World!'
Wrangling a 9 year old into the theme of 'perseverance' this year - no need for books apparently. Although the child has done good in choosing Odysseus - can't go wrong with a bit of the iliad. A snipped and stitched duvet cover toga, drawn on beard and ivy head wreath for the costume.

Hi Helen! Will your World Book Day Event be recorded?

Happy World Book Day! My favourite quote from yesterday’s school visit: “I really like the book you wrotened” ❤️❤️
