Happy Sunday folks!
Sunday would usually be a ‘Sunday House Chat’ but the building work has come to a halt while we wait for our new concrete floor to dry (way longer and more boring than waiting for paint to dry), then we can put down a lovely new wooden floor and finish the room. If you missed last week’s house chat, here it is.

In the meantime I thought you might like to know that I made the first three in my ‘Bite Sized Picture Book Process’ series free to everyone. Enjoy!
New plans in the Pencil Pals Desk Den
Going forward I have decided to write more of these bite sized nuggets, they are fun and easy to write and they are some of my most popular pieces. Maybe that’s because we’ll all busy people and can only manage a wee snippet of wisdom at a time. So I have scrapped my Problem Page section and I’ll be answering all your picture book questions in ‘ Bite Sized’ bits. Yum yum, nice ‘n’ tasty.
Anyway, I am off to make a pile of Welsh griddle cakes from my Mum’s old Be-Ro recipe book, how’s your Sunday going?
love Helen
Ooh! Thank you for the bite sized bits!! The Be-Ro book is the best, everyone’s birthday cake comes out of it in our house! Enjoy your Welsh griddle cakes!
I'm so excited for your bite sized nuggets Helen! You're an amazing and generous human! Thank you for your Welsh griddle cake recipe too! I've always wanted to try them. Do they taste best warm? Can I freeze them? Yummy! I'm looking forward to trying the recipe x Nell.
