Helen, your planning party last year was responsible for me not setting any concrete goals, and I gotta say, that was the best idea ever! I never imagined letting myself draw for fun would lead to a book deal with such a dreamy team. I think if I had set that as a goal for the year and tried too hard to manifest it, the results wouldn't have been the same. Cheers to floating donut energy in 2024!
I’m very impressed with your strategy Helen - and glad it has worked! I’m sat hereon holiday not quite relaxing, thinking about all the projects I have to jump back into on my return! All lovely, carefully considered projects that I didn’t think would collide but they have! I’m going to use your strategy once January ( ok, February 🙄) is over and be less headless chicken!! All the best for Christmas and love your new bathroom too btw! x
That sounds so great Helen! I get way too overenthusiastic too about things, so I let it simmer for a while too, to see if I still like it after a few days.
Same! I'm way too quick to say YES to things before looking at my schedule to see if I can work it in. Next year, I'm going to talk things over with one of my cats (the dogs will just tell me what I want to hear) before I give any answers! 😆
Your plan sounds so good Helen, great to hear it’s worked out! Love last year’s planning party! My goals are still above my desk from that session, one of them was ‘don’t get distracted’ ... then in April I discovered Substack 👀
I’m new here but looking forward to the planning party. Ideally I’d like to finish the the Goodship children’s book course that I started in fall but had to pause do to my pesky work schedule (which pays the bills) Merry Christmas!

What a year it’s been for you Beth! I hope you can make it to the next planning party, where we’ll make no plans again! 🤣

I saw your balcony view on Insta the other day, what a glorious way to spend Christmas. Perfect place to plot a ‘floating doughnut year’ 🤣
Many congrats on implementing this strategy, Helen!!! Great ideas for me as far as “want to do this” and other projects!

You are hilarious!!! The part about the dogs is so true!!! Maybe I need to adopt a cat?🤣
I always think adopting a cat is a great idea! But ask your pup first! 😜
I need to get some pets.
It’s a good tactic, always works.

Ha! Yes Substack can do that 😂

Merry Christmas, see you at the planning party!
