I cried my way through this drawing
Haunting me in the wee small hours
Even though it doesn't look like it here, I am enjoying doing
’s Comic Class very much. The brief this week was to make a comic featuring a koala.I decided to draw (in koala form) an experience from a while back that I cannot get out of my head. I have been waking up in the wee small hours thinking about this stranger who came to visit.
To cut a long story short: we’d never met him before, he was a friend of a friend.
Maybe he was nervous, maybe he doesn't cope well with new people. I struggle in new situations myself sometimes. I don't know what was going on, all I can say is that when he left we felt completely drained of all life force.
I laugh/cried my way through making the drawing and feel much better now.
Don't worry, he won't see it. As you know, he doesn't approve of all tech including the internet. It’s beneath him.
Have you ever needed to get something out of your system so badly that it makes you cry as you draw it? Tell me I am not alone!

Oh boy. This struck a chord big time. You nailed the hollowed-out expression ‘I’ll get you a taxi’ perfectly. Dealing with energy sucking vampire wombats is godawful.
Your koalas are brilliant x
Man... that Blackwing has seen some sh#t!
(PS. I have excellent core strength.)
